Pipelines are one of the safe and most economical ways transporting fluid matters in industries households. These pipelines get deteriorated due to aging, internal external corrosion, so on. This may cause leakages contaminate environment. So, inspected regularly maintain proper functioning cost-effectiveness. In-pipe inspection robots (IPIR) that move inside widely used carry out operations. IPIR along with visual other r non-destructive tests (NDT) proven be useful compared manual inspection. Wheel-driven robots, track-driven wall-press pipe gauge (PIG) many bio-inspired designs available. The design parameters specializations each type robot will presented this article.
